UAL Student to Student Peer Mentoring: Update

Peer mentoring is a UAL funded strategy to support student retention and attainment. A pilot peer mentoring programme has been carried out and evaluated at LCC. Peer mentoring is being rolled out across the University under the leadership of Catherine Smith, working in partnership with the Associate Deans for Learning and Teaching.

In each college a newly appointed part-time peer mentoring coordinator will recruit and train 2nd and 3rd year undergraduate students to become mentors to 1st year students (recruitment is progressing for this).
