coLAB closing conference in Brussels

13 UAL students and staff attended the coLAB closing conference in Brussels in early October. coLAB’s aim was to support refugees secure paid visiting practitioner posts at universities to support their integration into their new countries.

This was the culmination of this 18 month project at London College of Communication (LCC), delivered in partnership with universities in France, Belgium and Italy and funded by the Council of Europe and European Commission.

The conference was a great way to hear how the project had impacted the teachers, students and staff in their respective institutions and was a celebration of how meaningful integration through sharing skills, expertise and knowledge, can transform the lives of all of those involved.
