Digital Education staff development in September 2021

We are pleased to share our upcoming staff development sessions that are open to all UAL staff across all colleges and departments. All sessions will be hosted online.

We have a variety of new sessions this September:

  • Embedding Digital Well-being in the Curriculum
  • Using Microsoft Teams for Learning and Teaching Activities
  • Designing asynchronous learning activities
  • Getting started with myblog: developing a community of ideas.

You can join Pedagogy, Presence and Placemaking: building community and belonging in online teaching where David White, UAL Head of Digital Education, will facilitate an exploration of different  approaches to nurturing  community and belonging within student groups in online teaching. Other sessions focus on inclusive learning, educational videos, and learning platforms: Workflow, Moodle, Padlet, Collaborate Ultra and Panopto.

If you have any questions, please contact Digital Education through MySupport.

How to sign up:

  1. Select the session title to go to the ESS sign-up page.
  2. Log-in to ESS
  3. Select the session time you want to join.
  4. Within 2 business days after signing up, we will send you an Outlook calendar invitation with the details to join the session.

Cancellation:

If you book a session and later need to cancel, please decline the Outlook invitation and cancel your booking in ESS. Cancelling your booking in ESS will allow other colleagues to book in your place.

If you attend the session, you may request that session’s recording from the presenter. As spaces are limited, please do not book a session that you are unable to join in real time just to request a recording.

If you are unable to join in real-time, you can browse the self-paced development library on Canvas (UAL staff login required).

Upcoming sessions:

Join us to explore digital pedagogy and tools, discuss how to design your teaching and student support, and learn how to use the platforms we support.
