Updated offer from Careers and Employment

The Careers and Employability team has been working hard to ensure that we can still provide support students and staff during the Coronavirus closures. We’ve reimagined our offer to move many services online and will be proceeding with most careers and enterprise projects as planned.

MyCAF – online Creative Attributes Framework

There are 3rd year units that have professional practice related learning outcomes across UAL. These units can be challenging to adjust to this new learning environment.

The online tool MyCAF is a platform that can be used help students to reflect on their creative employability and enterprise attributes. A revised brief could invite students to complete the MyCAF tool; once they have downloaded their personalised profile they can reflect on their profile in relation to their discipline, industry or creative practice. The reflective commentary could be part of their assessed submission. MyCAF can be accessed via College Careers and Employability pages within Moodle. Further reading is available online.

There are diverse and wide-ranging enterprise and employability resources on the Careers and Employability web pages. Students could be asked to locate materials and resources that help them and to reflect on the ways they have used these materials to strengthen their employability.

Co-curricular workshops

If you’ve booked a co-curricular workshop with one of our careers or intellectual property specialists for the summer term, they will contact you to discuss your options. We’re happy to be flexible; we can run your workshop online if you’d like it to go ahead, work with you to amend the content or focus of the workshop, or it can be cancelled.

If you have ideas about how the team could support your delivery please contact the relevant staff member to discuss:
